Episcopal visit & dedication service Hermon Marthoma Church, Atlanta
The Hermon Mar Thoma Church Atlanta came into existence 5 years ago by the decision of the Episcopal Synod and Kalpana of the Diocesan Episcopa Dr. Euyakkim Mar Coorilos. May 15, 2011 has become a significant mile-stone in the growth of the Church as the existing members purchased the building and property and renovated it for regular worship. With the permission of the Metropolitan the Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma, the present diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa conducted the dedication service on May 15 at 9. 30 a.m.
Trinity Mar Thoma Church
Trinity Mar Thoma Church, Houston was established in 1974. His Grace Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Athanasius Suffragan Metropolitan conducted a prayer meeting at Houston in April 1974 with 10 families and that was the humble beginning of Trinity Mar Thoma parish, Houston. By the grace of God the Parish could complete 37 successful years as a worshipping community in this part of the world under the providence of God Almighty and we are indeed grateful to God for His abundant blessings , guidance and protection.
Theodosius Thirumeni’s visit to Mar Thoma Syrian Church, Secunderabad-Hyderabad

was a wonderful re-union for the members of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church Secunderabad-Hyderabad with Theodosius Thirumeni with whom the parish enjoys a longstanding relationship from 1990, when Thirumeni visited the parish and led the Holy Communion on Sunday May 8, 2011. Thirumeni reached Secunderabad on Saturday May 7, 2011 after leading the consecration service of the three new Rambans of our church at Ernakulam.
Visit of Mar Theodosius to Mission fields in Sanghareddy, Andhra Pradesh
On Monday, May 9, 2011 Theodosius Thirumeni visited the various mission works in the Sanghareddi area near Secunderabad, India which Thirumeni initiated while being the Episcopa of the Chennai-Bangalore Diocese. The first place Thirumeni revisited along with achens and Local Advisory Committee members was Ibrahimbad Mar Thoma church.
Consecration of the new Rambans
May 7, 2011 has become a historical day in the Mar Thoma Church, as the church is celebrating the 175th year of the reformation in the Malankara Church. By the grace of God and by the prayers of so many at large, the Consecration service of Rev. Dr. Varghese Mathai, Rev. K. V. Varkey and Rev. Dr. Oommen George went smoothly and the event turned out to be a blessing to the whole Church. It was a 3 Hour long service which went uninterrupted and led by all the bishops of the church and the two Metropolitans from the Thozhiyoor Church. The Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius, Episcopa of the Diocese of North – America and Europe was the chief celebrant. Our Metropolitan Tirumani gave the sermon.
Mar Thoma Students’ Conference- 2011
The Mar Thoma Students' Conference - 2011 was held at the Madras Christian College Chennai from May 11 to 14. The inauguration was held at 6 p. m. on May 11th with an opening worship. The Rt. Rev. Thomas Mar Timotheos gave the opening prayer. Dr. Manu Thomas, the President of the Conference welcomed the gathering. He said: The Mar Thoma Students' Conference has a shining history with a prophetic insight into the aspirations of the youthful community of the Church.
New purchase for the diocese
The long cherished dream of the Diocese in purchasing its adjacent land and property has come true on 26th April 2011. Let's praise and thank God for this historic event. The Diocesan Assembly which was held in 2010 took the decision to purchase the property at 2000 Carmen court, Merrick, NY 11566 and the Diocesan council earnestly worked to make it a reality. The closing was held on Tuesday 26th April 2011 at the Chase Bank, Merrick Avenue, Long Island, New York.
Visit to St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church, NY
The Diocesan Bishop Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa visited St. Thomas MTC, NY on Sunday May 1, 2011. The parish had about 20 first communicants, with their parents, god-parents, friends and relatives participating in the service.
